Abstract:   (463 Views)
This research aims to analyze the policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the South Caucasus crisis. Therefore, the main goal of this research is to answer the question of what policies the Islamic Republic of Iran has adopted in response to this crisis and what are the reasons and logic of these policies. In response to this question, the hypothesis of this research is that due to Iran's special interests in the South Caucasus region as well as the country's historical links with the conflicting parties, an approach based on positive neutrality has been adopted by Iran towards this crisis.
The approach of positive neutrality refers to the fact that a country tries to somehow influence the crisis process and play a role in the process of reducing the crisis without taking sides from any of the involved parties. The findings of the research show that in this crisis, the Islamic Republic has directed its policies in order to reduce the tension between the two countries without favoring the parties involved. This research is descriptive and analytical in which the method of data collection is based on documentary and library methods through leaf writing of the used sources. The sources used in this research are physical sources such as books, articles, articles, and electronic books that are accessible and reliable.
