International negotiation, although one of the most pervasive processes in world politics, has received far less attention from scholars than other aspects of international relations. The same neglect can be seen in the decades-long negotiations between Iran and the West over the nuclear issue. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to compare the Iranian negotiation style in two different stages of foreign policy. The importance of this issue is thatIran has different views on the nuclear issue and this has led to different and even contradictory behaviors. So, recognizing the method of negotiation as the output of each government's self-concept means its own image and wants others to understand this image in the same way, can be a way to understand different actions. The main question of the article is that: What kind of negotiation method has the self-concept of the Rouhani and Raisi nuclear team led to against the Western parties?. Findings of the research based on descriptive-analytical method show that Rouhani team's self-concept prescribes integrated negotiation method due to sensitivity to the view of international actors on their role identity and Raisi team's self-concept has caused a distributive negotiation style due to the importance of his image.
