Democracy and democracy are among the topics that are discussed a lot in scientific and even political circles, in this regard, the purpose of this article is the comparative study of religious democracy with emphasis on Shahid Beheshti, Stuart Mill and John Rawls. The research method is documentary and library type. The findings showed that the views of Islamic thinkers in confirming religious democracy, including Martyr Beheshti, were in favor of religious democracy, because in a society full of religious people, religious and religious values play an essential role in the public sphere of society. do In all types of democracy, the common feature is people's participation through the method of representation and referring to public votes, and on the other hand, those who believe in western democracy consider religious democracy to be a combination of the two words democracy and religion, and give it an independent meaning and definition. and they consider it to have various ambiguities, or they consider religion as limiting the principle of democracy, because in their opinion, religion cannot be combined with democracy and it is an imposed, artificial and unrealizable term, while many theorists Islamic, they do not consider the term religious democracy as a compound word, but they consider it a single truth in the essence of the Islamic system, that is, if a system is to be formed on the basis of religion, it is not possible without the acceptance of the people.
