In today's world, where social media is evolving at an increasing pace, attention should be drawn to the conscious and especially unconscious influence that these social media exert and how the negative aspects of that influence can be avoided. The influence of the media on politics has played an important role in shaping public perception, adding layers of complexity to issues such as misinformation, polarization and violent rhetoric. The main question and focus of this research is the effects and interaction of new media on political ethics in the political thought of Western thinkers. In this regard, by using the explanatory method, it can be said that although political philosophers and schools such as neoliberalism, postmodernism and socialists were influenced by new media technologies in presenting their political philosophy, on the other hand, they have presented theories to explain the new situation and solutions to reduce the negative effects of the media on political ethics. This article examines the theories of neoliberals, socialists, postmodernists, and thinkers such as Fukuyama and Habermas on the interaction of new media technologies on political ethics in terms of biopolitics, isolationism, shock theory, disciplinary society, rats and snakes, spontaneous society, and subcultures and ethics.
