Accordingly, the central question of the article is: What challenges has the multipolar world system faced in the post-Westphalian era? It is hypothesized that the multipolar world system in the post-Westphalian era has faced challenges in various security, economic, and environmental dimensions. The findings of the research show that the structure of the current international system is the result of the collapse of the Soviet :union: and the bipolar order. The most important feature of this system is the unequal distribution of power. This structure, which is referred to as the unipolar order, has increased competition between the main actors of the international system to fill the power gap. According to some people, these conflicts can pave the way for the transition from a unipolar to a multipolar international system. However, this multipolar system faces challenges in security, economic, and environmental dimensions.
